TYBITW is a character driven small town RP set in the fictional town of Bay Grove, VA. We have no word count and prefer quality to quantity. We feature canon characters but encourage original characters as well. TYBITW focuses on all ages groups, from high school to adult.

Three months and counting! TYBITW's team is so happy to have all the members we do who are so great at being active, and full of enthusiasm and initiative. You make our jobs easier with all the fun and effort you put into this site so we thank you for that!

WE CURRENTLY HAVE NO BANS. That's right! ZERO BANS! The ratios have evened up nicely, and everything seems a lot more harmonious now although we would STILL love to have more FRESHMEN. We'd like to strongly suggest as well that you look into making townies, though! More of those would surely be welcome, especially those a bit from the older crowd than what we currently have; however, in the end the decision is up to you.

EDITA HAPPENSTANCE and NOVEMBER FRANZE have organized a seniors only beach party to celebrate the start of summer as well as a way to celebrate everyone graduating together from one grade to the next. Of course, you don't have to be a senior-to-be to join the party! Word gets around quickly, doesn't it? So even if you weren't expressly invited I'm sure you'll be able to find your way to the Happenstance's beach house and join in on the fun!

Remember, it is currently the middle of June, summertime, so school is no longer in session. However, there are various summer programs, such as summer school, a summer arts program, and a summer theater program! If you have any questions, never hesitate to contact the Admins!

THE CAFETERIA
The food may not always be the best, but you can rely on pizza and french fries from the a la carte. Meet up with your friends. You can eat inside or out on the grounds, if the weather is nice.

LOCKERS AND HALLWAYS
Between classes, before and after school, this is where everyone can be found. Milling through the heard, sneaking out of class, sprawling about on the floor. Everyone loves to linger before they're forced into class.

THE CLASSROOMS
Sneaking into empty classrooms isn't advised, but it happens. Try not to sleep in the back of the classroom, or else face the teachers wrath. It's a great place to pass notes or get to know that cutie next to you, though.

THE LIBRARY
For a school of its size, the library is fairly decent, and surprisingly modern, thanks to a grant from a loaded dead guy. There's also a computer lab attached. Glass walls allow a lot of light to spill in, which makes it difficult to NOT fall asleep in the cozy arm chairs.

THE THEATER
This theatre/auditorium is where you'll find all school assemblies, as Coach Moses prefers people keep OFF the shiny new gym floor. But more than likely, if you spend much time in the theatre at all, it's because you're part of the thespians. The newly renovated stage with an orchestra pit has a large audience of new, cushy seats, including a balcony. This is great, because the shows often sell out. Behind the stage is the work shop, a large industrial area full of machinery, tools, and all sorts of prop building materials. In the various wings, you can find not only the Green Room and dressing rooms but also the prop shop. Up a stair case leads you to a balcony for the costume shop. Everybody is welcome to assist the shows.

THE GYM AND FIELDS
Sports are still a big thing at BGHS. They have a football field, a soccer field, the track court around the football field, and a newly renovated gym. Many physical education classes take place either in the gym or out on the fields somewhere. Cheer meets in the gym for practice and outside when the weather is nice.

DOWNTOWN
Ah, shopping! Although downtown in Bay Grove is not THE most happening place of the state, or even in the vicinity, it is a pleasant place to spend a considerable amount of time in. Spend some time in the arcade in the grocery store after you have done shopping or the antique shop next door has recently acquired an interesting little jewelry box ....

PARKS
Hop onto a swing or let yourself loose on the slide, and let out your inner child. Or, if you prefer, you could go for an early morning jog or an evening walk on the lush, green grass. The parks of Bay Grove are surprisingly well kept. But then again, in a town this small, there really isn't that much one could do to entertain themselves ...

TOWN LIBRARY
Bored? Need to research? Read the local newspaper or just have a craving for a new story? Head to the library. The old, brown building situated adjacent to the City Park, is easily the biggest building in the city. While the collection is not the greatest and the walls need to be re-painted, the library is not a bad place to visit every now and then.

RESTAURANTS AND COFFEESHOPS
While the unavailability of McDonalds is a massive strike against the place, you may still find food in Bay Grove to satisfy your needs. Head down to the grill for the burgers or, if you want something less classy, there is a pizza place in town. While the coffees here are not those you get in Starbucks, you will find that they satisfy your coffee cravings perfectly well.

THE WOODS
The woods on the outskirt of town have always been creepy. Children grew up telling stories of fabled beasts, of dangerous monsters, and they made a point to avoid it. Once they were all older, it became a popular spot for parties and drinking. After Juliette's suicide, though, people have grown wary of entering it's trees, too freaked out by ghost stories and her rumored presence.

THE PIER
Unlike the piers of larger, popular beaches, the wood is dilapidated and you will find no carnivals and only a bait shop and a fish monger. A few buildings stand ramshackle and are sometimes trespassed upon. Still, the salty scent of ocean is in the air. The scene is beautiful, especially during the sunrise over the ocean.

THE COAST
Bay Grove is equally known for its small but beautiful ocean scenery, with almost 8 miles of shoreline. Along the rocky coast, there is a beach, a small fishing pier, and a lighthouse in St. Lucas Seal Island. Jagged rocks, tide pools and cliffs add to the rugged beauty of Bay Grove. Just inland, by contrast, are creeks, and forests.

DOWNTOWN
Those who find the lack of shopping in Bay Grove disappointing, downtown has a wealth of shopping available. The array of clothing shopping is impressive but isn't limited only to it. Beautiful buildings line the quaint little street and at night, bright lights color the city.

MOVIE THEATERS
The weekends are the perfect time to hit up the theaters and Silver City offers three. One multiplex shows all the latest showings; the drive-in is open from April into late October; the dollar plaza shows movies about three months after they've left the multiplex: you'll see them later, but they're so much cheaper.

McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell, and more. If you need a quick bite in a pinch, you can find plenty of 'em here in Silver City. If you're hurting for money, getting a job at one couldn't hurt. Of course, classier sit downs can be found here, as well as a few cafes and mom & pop joints. Dining in Silver City offers a wide array of tastes, as well!

PARKS AND RECREATION
The parks in Silver City are much larger and lavish than those in Bay Grove. More structures fill the sprawling grounds with more facilities; basketball and tennis courts can be found, a small soccer park is in one, and a baseball field. On some weekends, you can participate in silly contests or community events.

APARTMENT COMPLEXES
Two apartment complexes exist : the low-rent (Cove's End), which is more prone to police visits, drug busts, and violence, due to its location; and the more expensive (Merriweather Heights), but nicer (and safer!) apartments with controlled gates and security. Cove's End is located much more inland, where Merriweather Heights is nestled cozy in downtown, quite close to the beach.

From tiny shack-like houses to normal-sized family homes to duplexes and mansions, you might probably live here. Older homes are located in or around downtown as modern establishments crop up the further inland you go. On the outskirts of town, new housing developments have begun, complete with look-a-like homes in cozy cul-de-sacs.
